Most trips are usually scheduled
for two days fishing. You will arrive at Cuttyhunk at approximately
11:00am the morning of the first day and return to the mainland by 9:30am
the morning of the third day. ( i.e. Pick up Monday 10:00am, return
Wednesday 9:30am.)
A one day trip works the same way
as a two day with the exception that you will return to the mainland on
the morning of the second day.
Day trips where you return to the
mainland the same day can be arranged also, but are not recommended as you do not
have the opportunity to do any night fishing.
A Trip consists of 2 - 5 people.
Larger groups can be accommodated
as we have additional charter boats available.
What to bring
All tackle etc. is
furnished. If you wish to do some fishing from the shoreline during your
stay you should bring the necessary equipment, (waders, fly rod, spinning
gear, etc.)
Even if you choose to fish during
the summer months make sure you bring a warm jacket or sweatshirt.
Although the days can be hot, it can become quite cool during a night
fishing trip.
Most people bring their own
supplies, food and drinks, snacks and so on. There is a market on island
should you forget something or you can buy supplies there instead of
bringing them from the mainland. Alcohol is allowed in moderation but
remember, Cuttyhunk is a dry island. Make sure you bring enough of
what you like to drink. Once you are on island you will not be able to
purchase any alcoholic beverages.
Upon completion of your trip your
catch will be filleted and bagged unless otherwise specified. You are
responsible to supply a cooler to transport your fillets home. Ice is
available on island or you can purchase ice at the marina back on the
mainland.
Rates
$675.00 per day ( 2 days or more )
$750.00 per day ( 1 day trip )
All trips require a $300.00
deposit that is non refundable and non transferable. Any trip cancelled
with less than 2 weeks notice will be paid in full. No exceptions.
Pick up from and return to the mainland is
provided by Cuttyhunk
Water Taxi. The rate is as follows: $ 60.00 per person, round trip.
The Cuttyhunk
Water Taxi leaves New Bedford Harbor at 10:00am. The Captain will make arrangements for your transportation when the
fishing trip is booked and confirmed.
Lodging
All lodging is on island. You
will stay in a modern 2 bedroom apartment that sleeps 4 comfortably and
has all the amenities of home. The cost for lodging is $110.00 per person
per night.
